Exclusively For Girls
A.O REA was founded in the summer of 2022 after the spin-off of the women's section of Asteras Rethymno. Our senior team managed from its very first competitive year to secure a high position in the standings of the Greek Women's 1st Division. At the same time, we laid the foundations with a long-term goal and vision for the development of women's football in Rethymno, creating the only exclusive academy in our prefecture.
Our Philosophy
Through a modern and advanced program, we aim to offer quality football education. Our specialized coaching staff, consisting of players and coaches from the senior team, aspires to be a role model for young girls, transmitting the beauty and healthy philosophy of football.
The different needs and aspirations of young athletes, from simple participation to the privilege of talented players joining the first team, are a core priority for the REA Academy. Cultivating the right mentality and self-confidence through encouragement, competition, teamwork, and continuous effort forms our primary goals.

UEFA Playmakers
In the context of continuous development, our team adopts a model program aimed at attracting girls aged 5-8. They take their first football steps in a specially designed environment, focusing on fun, friendship, and football.
It is a new adapted philosophy using imagination from Disney stories and characters to teach football skills. Children act as their favorite heroines, joining a team with the common goal of physical, social, and emotional development!
U17 Development Team
We have established a U17 development team that competes in the EPO National U17 Championship. The privilege for the girls playing in this team is their direct connection to the senior team.
Several athletes from the development team participate in the senior team's training sessions and even have the right to play in official 1st Division matches.
