About Us
REA FC
The Rethymno Union of Athletes (R.E.A.) was created in 2022 to be the "embrace" of Rethymno's Women's football and competes in the Greek Women's 1st Division.
In mythology, Rhea was the mother of Zeus, who entrusted Crete to protect her son from Cronus. In the present, she is the "mother" of Rethymno's Women's football, striving to protect the core values of sports, with respect for her "daughters" and opponents alike.

The Symbolism of our Crest
The logo of REA features the Tree against the backdrop of the Sun. The Sun signifies the transmission of light, life-giving energy, and limitless growth potential. The Tree is one of the symbols of Goddess Rhea; it represents growth and is the most perfect symbol of the path and purpose of humanity.
Within our symbol (the Tree), the acronym of our name, REA, is formed. The colors of REA are gold (brightness, knowledge) and green, which is the color of an open path and signifies the beginning of a journey.
